Tammie was raised on her parent’s horse stud on the outskirts of Canberra and enjoyed their rural upbringing so much that she now own a small acreage block just out of Canberra where, in limited spare time, shee rides and breeds horses.
Stockade Feeding Systems initially started as a belief that there was a more sustainable way to manage horses on a small acreage holding. That belief resulted in a lot of research into management practices and complementary products to support those practices. This research led to the identification of holes in the market and therefore launching into many trials of different materials and designs that eventually resulted in practical and valuable products.
Stockade’s Vision Statement is:
To offer affordable and practical products for the sustainable feeding and management of horses and livestock on small acreage.
and the Mission Statement is:
To design, manufacture and sell products that bring practical solutions to horse and livestock husbandry, feeding and fodder management that result in economic, social, environmental and animal health benefits.
The Stockade Feeding Systems product range is focused around several hay feeders that are designed to minimise hay wastage and owner time and economic commitment to feeding, while also aiding in the maintenance of horse health. Most products also reduce the need for manual handling of hay and therefore reduce the chances of owner injuries.
In 2022 I launched the first products but have many ideas for future products to help you, your animals and your property. So please, watch this space as new products enter the market.
